The Allendale Community Foundation was created as a permanent community endowment, built over time by gifts and bequests from hundreds of individuals, families, and organizations committed to improving and enhancing the quality of life in the Allendale area. Guided by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of community leaders, the Foundation continues to accomplish its original mission by:
• Serving as a leader, catalyst, and resource for philanthropy.
• Building and holding a permanent growing endowment for the community's changing needs and opportunities.
• Striving for community improvement through strategic grant making in such fields as the arts, education, health, environment, youth, senior citizens, social services, and other human needs. • • Promotion partnerships around critical community issues and leveraging resources to meet community needs.
• Providing a flexible and cost effective way for donors to improve their community now and in the future
The Charitable IRA will continue through 2011
The Charitable IRA Rollover is again available...just in time for you to continue your support of the
community during these tough economic times. The IRA Charitable provision allows anyone over the age of 70 1/2 to make a gift directly from their IRA—income tax free.
